The Orlando music scene is bursting with talented performers and this week’s Orlando music news has several items that show that the local talent has been recognized not only nationally, but internationally as well. Congratulations to Orlando singer/songwriter Carly Jo Jackson on making it to the next round on “America’s Got Talent.” Music fans got to see her audition last Tuesday night. Sadly NBC didn’t show much of her singing, but that just gives everyone more to look forward to in the next round.

On Monday Alex & Sierra release their first single since they won “The X Factor.” To build up to the event, the duo released a lyric video for “Scarecrow” three weeks ago on You Tube.

Stiletto Red’s Kickstarter is still underway. The band has until July 11 to raise the $3,500 they need to complete their album. Some of the special perks are in very limited quantities so don’t wait too long.

Monday’s BackBooth show in downtown Orlando has two noteworthy events packed into one show. This is A Hero’s Fate’s welcome back show. It’s been over a year since their last show. This show is also the CD release show for singer/songwriter Jason Lancaster’s “As You Are.”

Tuesday, Mark Dawson and The Kings of Snack release their debut CD “One Saturday Night” worldwide. Earlier this year, Mark Dawson and The Kings of Snack got together for a one-hour, one-time-only concert for Our Generation Radio and this CD is the result. Pre-ordering the CD will earn music fans a bunch of exclusive perks.

Friday is the debut show for Casket Noise at Orlando Brewing. Also on the bill for this FREE show are Death Requisite and Cultellarii.
