A big week ahead for Orlando local music (Photos)

This coming week, January 14-20, is another big week for local Orlando live music.

Orlando singer/songwriter Big Ron Betts returns to playing live after time off for heart surgery and recovery. There are two chances to catch him live this week, on Friday he’ll be at Connolly’s Irish Pub and on Saturday he’ll be at Jack’s Steak House.

On Friday night, local Orlando band NuEra has a CD release show at West End Trading Company for “Dialysis” while The Delusionaires celebrate the vinyl release of “Flooze Party” at Wills Pub. On Saturday night is the Volusia County release celebration for Orlando band The Actomatics and “Summer is Risky” at Café DaVinci.

Saturday kicks off the new FREE monthly live concert series brought by Orlandobands.com, Chris Godkin RE/MAX Town Centre, Evermore Sound and the Connecticut School of Broadcast at West End Trading Company. Head up there to see Orlando bands Andy Starkey, Cold War Relic, Eleven29, Groove Trunk, Detoura Acoustic and Harbor Point with Central Florida bands Dirty Black Halo and Lit Up.

On Sunday is the seventh anniversary celebration for Southern Fried Sundays at Wills Pub with live music from Orlando bands Rocket 88, Big Jef Special and The NovaRays with Central Florida band The Blast-Offs.
