It's been a while since we've thanked the followers of our Facebook page and the subscribers of this column and told you how much we love and appreciate you.
Videos and pictures, sad and heartwarming stories, and hopefully a few laughs - this is what we aim to share with you every day. We all need the latter from time to time. Without you, none of this would be possible.

The earnings generated from this column are given as monetary or supply donations for animals in need at shelters and rescues, and funds are also given to reputable animal causes.

We know that a lot of the stories are extremely sad and hard to read - believe me, they are difficult to write as well; heartbreaking, as a matter of fact - but the word must get out.
We must know about the horrendous abuse in order to stand together to change it. Pretending it's not there doesn't change the fact that it's happening every day, and certainly doesn't make it go away. This army of advocates has to fight for tougher laws and stricter sentencing against the people who violate animals. Through our tears for the helpless animals who need us, we must read about their plights and act to change things for them.
But it's not always sad stories; we also write articles on shelters and rescues; fundraising events; and heroes in the animal welfare world.
