Edelbrock will hold its 9th annual car show benefiting the Rev’ved Up 4 Kids charity from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 3 at Vic’s Garage in Torrance, CA. More than 300 street rods, muscle cars, classic cars, trucks, specialty vehicles, motorcycles and more are expected.
Featured events will include exhibits from aftermarket manufacturers; Music all day from the High Energy Sound Machine; Kids Corner with activities; Star Car Central movie themed cars; Food festival with a variety of choices including gourmet offerings from popular food trucks; Beer garden; Opportunity raffle; and free guided tours of Edelbrock’s R&D, manufacturing and quality control departments from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 2 at its corporate headquarters.
In addition, Edelbrock will also host the 5th annual Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge, in which local high school students compete in a high-energy engine building competition. The top teams from each region will earn their spot to compete at the National Finals in Las Vegas at the "Showdown at SEMA" in early November, where they will vie for scholarships from Ohio Technical College, University of Northwestern Ohio and the School of Automotive Machinists.
Last year’s winning team received a $5,000 dollar scholarship each from both SAM and OTC. The 2nd place finishers received $3,000 each student. The 3rd place team received $2,000 for each student, and every participating student received 1,000 dollar scholarship from both OTC (Ohio Technical College) & SAM (School of Automotive Machinist).
