Call all seafood lovers – make plans to attend the Ninth Annual Deering Seafood Festival. You’ll find booth after booth of fresh seafood like crab cakes, lobster, paella, blackened tuna, and lots more. For landlubbers, Sports Grill will be there with their most awesome chicken wings, corn and burgers. Is your mouth watering yet?
In addition to amazing food, you can enjoy an entire day of big time fun with Bahamian Junkanoo dancers, steel drums, cooking demos with South Florida celebrity chefs like Damian Gilchrist of the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo and Samir Canaan from Truluck’s, and Joe McCarthy at The Oceanaire. They’ll be wine tastings from Crown Wine and Spirits, an artist village, pontoon boat rides to Chicken Key, and the Lil’ Shrimp Kids Zone. Parents, you are going to love the Kids Zone – and so will your children. This event reaches into the stratosphere to please families.
Mark the date: Sunday, March 24, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the historic Deering Estate. It’s the biggest backyard on Biscayne Bay.
