"The girls look so good but their brain is not ready....I don't know" are the lyrics on the hook to one of 90s rapper Chi Ali's most popular hit singles "Age Ain't Nothing But a Number." Since the release of that single and album released in 1992, Chi Ali has collaborated with rap duo Black Sheep, rapper Jadakiss and served 12 years in prison for manslaughter. What's he up to now? According to the Urban Daily on Tuesday March 18, rumor has it that Chi Ali could be joining the cast and next season of Love & Hip Hop NY (LHHNY).

Reports are stating that Chi Ali has been spotted hanging out with current cast member Peter Gunz and UrbanDaily believes that Chi Ali has such a compelling story and they could see the show’s producers wanting to get a hold of him for the show. Agreed. But the two are both from the Bronx so could their frequent sitings together be just that of catching up with an old friend?

If the producers of LHHNYdecide to add Chi Ali, real name Chi-Ali Griffith, to the cast maybe there will finally be full disclosure and details about his 2001 manslaughter charge/conviction and his 12 year prison sentence. Sources also say that he is currently working on new music and said to be in talks to release a book. He definitely has the resume of a LHHNY star but, then again from past seasons and past cast members, it really doesn't take an extensive resume to land a gig on the show. I guess as of now we'll have to sit tight and wait for an official announcement.
