News came out today about a 9-year-old who gave birth to a baby girl. On Feb. 6, Christian Post was able to come up with some updates on the man they believe is the father of her child.
If you missed, the original story the girl got pregnant when she was 8 and said that it was a 17-year-old male that she was in love with and having a relationship. Of course there is more to this story but the male is considered a runaway and they can't find him to talk to him.
The young girl is now saying that he asked her to move in with him and she said no. He wanted to help her raise the child together. She is saying that he decided to leave two months ago, but is also reporting that she didn't know she was pregnant until she was 7 months along. This would mean he left very soon after she found out the news.
The state prosecutor is "still open to the possibility of rape or child sex abuse." Obviously it was abuse if he had sex with her at that young age, but it makes it sound like they might not be sold on the boyfriend story and will wait to talk to him and decide more.
