The child runaway from Minnesota was able to pass three levels of security. The gate agents, TSA and the Delta flight crew. The crew became immediately suspicious half-way through the flight when the boy's name wasn't found on their flight list. The crew members immediately turned the boy over to Child Protective Services.
The boy was seen scouting, exploring the airport the day before on October 2, 2013. He was seen taking someone's luggage off a carousel and than ordering food at the Hot Dish restaurant, even asking the server to watch his luggage while he went to the bathroom but never returning.
