The Baltimore Ravens are the 2012 AFC Champions. The Ravens did not have an easy road this season. It was paved with off the field tragedies, injuries, tough games and so much more but the team is going to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2001. Super Bowl XLVII features the Baltimore Ravens and the 2012 NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers. Super Bowl XLVII is being called the HarBowl for Ravens head coach John Harbaugh and his brother and 49ers head coach, Jim Harbaugh. Super Bowl XLVII will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday February 3, 2013 on CBS. The state of Maryland is electric. Everything and everyone in Maryland is purple and Ravensnation is electric. On Sunday September 23, 2012, Baltimore Ravens WR Torrey Smith’s younger brother Tevin died in a motorcycle accident. Torrey played later that night against The New England Patriots and lead the Ravens to a victory with 6 receptions for 126 yards and two touchdowns which lead to a Baltimore Ravens 31-30. Torrey’s courageous performance won the GMC Never Say Never Moment in week three of this season. Torrey’s courageous performance has been nominated for GMC Never Say Never Moment of the year. 2) Plan your Super Bowl Super Bowl XLVII party and send out invitations
This week is the best time to start planning your Super Bowl party plans. You can use Punchbowl or Evite to send out electronic invitations or call people. You can reserve platters at many local restaurants and supermarkets. Since the Ravens are in the Super Bowl, many places will have more orders than usual. So you should place your order early. Also you have the option of making your own dishes. You can go to Allrecipes, Cooking Light, and Food Network for ideas.
3) Pick the place where you will be watching the Super Bowl and make reservations
Since the Ravens are in the Super Bowl, many restaurants are hosting events. You can get a list of great places to go by clicking here. Some places are requiring a reservation. If your favorite restaurant does not have free or valet parking, you can park in a garage. Call your favorite garage to see what their hours are on Super Bowl Sunday.

6) Attend events supporting ABCF and the Brigance Brigade on Saturday January 26, 2012
The American Breast Cancer Foundation (ABCF) is a Maryland based organization that is dedicated to supporting breast cancer patients. ABCF is holding the 2013 FX Studios Experience on Saturday January 26, 2013. You can read more about ABCF and the event by clicking here. The Brigance Brigade Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports ALS patients and their families. It was founded by CFL and NFL champion, Baltimore Ravens Senior Advisor to Player and ALS patient & advocate O.J. Brigance and his wife Chanda. 7) Volunteer with your favorite nonprofit organization

This is the best time to look back before the big game on February 3, 2012.
9) Interact with the players and support them on social media and at events
