9/365 Reflection

9/365 A Year of Faces in Photorgraphy

This is not how most people think of Shannon Malcolm. She has bright, beaming smile and a warm, welcoming presence, but there are moments when I see the quiet, reflective side of Shannon. This morning as the fog shrouded the river, the Coffee Girl Cafe on Pier 39 where Shannon works as a barista, was quiet and still. Customers were sipping their coffee drinks, and Shannon, in her peaceful, calm way, went about the business of preparing orders. Shannon moved to the Oregon Coast to attend college several years ago, and has made her home here ever since. Originally from Southern California, Shannon has become part of the Astoria community. With dreams of traveling, farming, and going back to school, Shannon is currently spending her time working and enjoying her friends. Our community is brighter for her presence. Her reflective, peaceful demeanor give her a classic and timeless elegance.
