On this 12th anniversary of the greatest attack any terrorists have performed on our home soil, an honest look at the current state of our country does not look good.
Jobs are scarce and becoming more valuable than gold. Income is even more scarce than jobs. Necessary bills are stacking up. Vehicles are being lost. Homes are being lost. Personal savings are vanishing into thin air. Gas for your vehicle is skyrocketing, and with that, every product in our local stores has to increase in price as well.
The picture looks bleak, doesn't it?
That's because it is bleak. And it likely will not get drastically better until after the 2016 election. In fact, it may get much worse before then.
With all of that said, let's never, ever forget the sacrifices our fellow Americans, both overseas and on our own soil, have made.
We've lost fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, boyfriends, girlfriends....and worst of all, our children, because every single person lost is SOMEONE'S child. Our children are our future. And with the loss of each of our children, the entire nation shudders.
We cannot forget the blood that has been shed, both willingly and by force. We cannot forget the price that has been paid and continues to be paid daily. We cannot forget what that blood purchases. The blood purchases what our dollars never can.
Our dollars buy off politicians and hush up scandals. Our dollars provide a sense of security, albeit false. Our dollars keep the whole cycle in it's daily momentum....our dollars won't continue to keep the charade up forever. Instead, we must go back to our roots. We must realize what built this country, what prospered this country, what brought this country to be the world's greatest superpower. We must remember what brought us here, to the point that we've taken for granted what we have....what we had.
Because now, we are no longer respected by the world. We are no longer a force to be reckoned with. We are no longer the world leader. And all of that rests on the hands of the current leadership, at all levels.
The truth hurts, but it must be spoken. More than that...the truth must be acted upon.
On this 12th anniversary of the greatest attack we've probably ever had on our soil, let's bring this country roaring back to the top. Who's with me?
