Tomorrow is the 8th annual Small Business Fair held at Chaminade University. This event will consist of various workshops spread throughout three workshop times available for the nearly 300 participants. About 25 of Chaminade’s own Hogan Entrepreneurs will be volunteering at the event.
Hogan Entrepreneurs is a program that started about 12 years ago when owners of Pleasant Holiday Travel, Ed and Lynn Hogan, offered Chaminade a grant for aspiring entrepreneurs to gain instruction, skills, and network with Hawaii (and beyond) small business owners.
The Small Business Fair, “Launch Your Dreams into Reality” is organized by individuals from various organizations, who take turns chairing the event:
• US Small Business Administration
• Chaminade University
• Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
• Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
• Business Action Center
• Department of Business
• Economic Development & Tourism
• Bank of Hawaii
• Ewa Beach Community Based Development Organization (CBDO)
This year, the event is chaired by Joe Burns of the SBDC. Various workshops throughout the morning will be held at Henry Hall and Clarence T.C. Ching Hall at Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii. Both existing small business owners and those aspiring to become small business owners will come together to share their ideas, challenges, and coaching from these diverse and talented presenters.
In addition to the organizations listed above, exhibitors will also be present:
