On March 15th the Game Audio Network Guild, or G.A.N.G., announced the winners of their annual award show held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The non-profit organization, which is dedicated to the advancement and recognition of game audio, gives out annual awards to honor outstanding creative, technical and artistic audio achievement in the world of interactive entertainment. All awards are voted on and judged by the game audio industry and members of G.A.N.G. The winners represent the best in game audio over the '09 year. Not surprising Sony’s Uncharted 2: Among Thieves received 6 awards including Audio of the Year. Founder, CEO and Chairman, Tommy Tallarico had this to say: “The level of quality this year was stunning. Each nominee and winner should be extremely proud of their amazing accomplishments.” President of G.A.N.G., Paul Lipson added: “GANG is committed to recognizing the accomplishments of our industry, and our partnership with GDC (Game Developers Conference) has enabled us to make the GANG Awards an internationally recognized event. This year’s group of nominees and winners raised the bar in every category, and we are thrilled to celebrate that.”
