May Day is lei day so it's only fitting that leis are the main focus at this year's Lei Day Celebration. This free 87th Annual festival is put on by the City and County of Honolulu and takes place today and tomorrow between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm at Queen Kapi'olani Regional Park Bandstand.
In addition to hula halau and lei contest exhibits, Kulana lei, a village with demonstrations, stories, games and arts will be open for keiki of all ages to enjoy.
Craft booths, and food booths will be open for the public, and music by the Royal Hawaiian Band, Weldon Kekauoha, Melveen Leed, Mailani, and Maunalua are scheduled to entertain.
