Former Navy Seal and local businessman Scott Taylor makes his candidacy for the 85th District State Delegate seat vacated by Bob Tata will hold his “Campaign Kickoff” at The Westin Virginia Beach Town Center on March 28, 2013 at 6:00 pm.
The guest list will include Virginia Beach Mayor Will Sessoms, Delegate Bob Purkey, Delegate Barry Knight and other local politicos. Mayor Sessoms and Delegate Knight and Purkey have all publicly endorsed Taylor.
Mayor Sessoms also touted Taylor's military service as a Navy SEAL. "As a military veteran, Scott Taylor knows first-hand the importance of the military to Virginia Beach, and understands the negative impact sequestration could have to our nation's security and our region's future. I'm proud to have him on our side to protect these vital interests." (Scott Taylor for Politics FB page)
The event is free and open to the public. D’oeuvres and cash bar for attendees.
