Melbourne, one of the oldest cities in Florida, is set to host the biggest 80’s music festival in the country, September 26th-28th, 2014. Melbourne is a relatively small town about an hour east of Orlando, best known for its proximity to Cape Canaveral and some of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. The festival, which takes place in the Wickham Park Pavilion, features some veteran musical acts, most popular in the 80’s, from classic rock hair bands to some of the New Wave eras earliest hit makers. Headliners include, Bad Company’s Steve Howe and Stephen Pearcy of Ratt, along with John Waite, Jack Russell’s Great White, and progressive rockers Zebra. New Wave fans will surely remember other performers like Missing Persons, Gene Loves Jezebel, and Bow Wow Wow. The festival will offer plenty of food and drinks a well as classic 80’s memorabilia from video games to classic cars of the era.
Tickets star at only $39.00 for a three day general admission pass and children under 12 are free, making the event family friendly and affordable for most any budget. VIP tickets include transportation to and from the official hotel of the festival, The Melbourne Hilton Rialto, and two nights of special after parties in the hotel for adults who really want to party to the max.
