An 8-year-old girl in Chapel Hill, Tennessee has reportedly received a note and a gift from her guardian angel, Fox Carolina reported December 24.
Bella Hosford lost her great-grandmother Minnie Sue Watts in August 2012. Before her death, she told Bella she was going to go and live in heaven. Bella was upset because this was her favorite grandmother and she has really missed her.
Then in 2012, Bella got the idea of tying a note of love to her grandmother onto a balloon and releasing it to-well-heaven. All Bella wanted was for God to tell her "Mawmaw" she loved her.
The family moved on with their lives, and on December 16 a brown satin envelope came in the mail with the balloon inside. Plus a gift for the child, a locket, was in a small box. The family was so much in shock that they stood in the driveway and cried.
No one knows where the balloon ended up after it ascended into the heavens. The letter Bella had sent was returned, with a message to the child written on the back saying
"Dearest Bella. Mawmaw is always with you. Just close your eyes and you will see her. Love, your guardian angel."
Bella's mother,Tricia Hosford is grateful to whoever sent the heavenly reply. Bella is convinced her balloon reached her grandmother, and her very own guardian angel delivered the reply. She plans to wear her locket to school and considers it one of the greatest presents of her life.
Do you believe in guardian angels? Or was this the kindness of a stranger who wanted to ease the mind of a young girl, while at the same time giving the child something tangible to hold on to? Your comments are welcome.
