Lace up your running shoes and get ready to take part in the 7th Annual San Diego River Run 5K Run/Walk & Bike Rally. The annual fundraising event will take place on May 10, 2014 and all proceeds raised will go to help Lakeside's River Park.

The 7th Annual San Diego River Run will kick off at 8am PT. Registration will open at 7am. Pre-registration can be done online at sdriverrun.org, with the adult entry fee set at $35 ($40 if you register on the day of the event). Those 17 and under can register for just $20. Everyone who registers will receive a T-shirt and refreshments.

Anyone interested in the untimed bike rally can enter for $20 ($25 on race day). Bikes will take to the course for a fun ride beginning at 11am.

According to the official registration form, the 5K course is flat and runner-friendly. Dogs are welcome to join in the fun as long as they are kept on leashes. This year's event will start at the Town Center Community Park East in Santee (behind the YMCA).

The 5K is taking place in conjunction with the SanTree Fest which will feature a kids zone, vendor booths, and a beer garden for those old enough to drink.

For more information on the annual community event, visit the run's official site at sdriverrun.org.
