7th Annual Long Island Outlook Awards Nominees: Entertainer of the Year

Outlook Long Island is Long Island’s own publication dedicated to serving the area’s gay populace and on Saturday, February 2nd, 2012, the magazine will be holding its 7th Annual Outlook Awards at the Thatched Cottage in Centerport. Mistress of Ceremonies Ariel Sinclair will be on hand to recognize the best of Long Island’s LGBT community for 2011, and awards will be given out in a variety of categories, including Activist of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Best Nightlife, and many others.

Here's a closer look at the nominees facing off in the category of “Entertainer of the Year”:

Hahnzie Doodleis a comedian who's Saturday night shows at Cherry Grove's the Island Breeze had audience members in stitches all summer long. Check out one of her hysterical bits here.

Always smiling Francisco Dovito, better known as "Frankie the DJ," worked the deejay booth and karaoke machine at Sayville's Fusion 84.

Steve Fog is a Long Island nightlife staple, spinning hot tracks all night long at the Bunk House and at parties hosted by A-List Promotions.

Jason Galka is the host of his own eponymous cable talk show, which discusses LGBT issues happening in and around Long Island. Check out a clip of Jason with coming out stories right here.

The Long Island Gay Men's Chorus has been entertaining Long Islanders with their sweet harmonies for a long, long time now, and their gift of song is being recognized once again with a nomination in this category.

The Long Island Pride Chorus has proudly been entertaining Long Islanders since 1992 with their all-inclusive group of music lovers.

Joe Mendez is the resident DJ at the Long Island Eagle and you can catch him spinning hot dance tracks and smooth grooves most any weekend.

Priscilla Pride, Long Island's own resident gossip and she's been nominated in this category once again.

AJ Reddy is one of the friendly set at Lizard Lounge's Circus Wednesdays and Metro Fridays, always spinning the hottest video tunes.

Lydia Sabosto is a multi-talented singer and pianist who's been making rounds on the island sharing her gift with appreciative audiences.
