Look at this guy in the 7 of wands tarot card. What does it look like is happening here? It looks like he has come across some opposition. Let’s imagine that he was strolling down his path. Everything was fine. He had an idea of where he was going, and a clear vision on how he was going to get there. Likely, he had anticipated some challenges along the way, and was prepared for them. Probably, on this path he had encountered other challenges, other obstacles, and got around them just fine. But now here he is at this one is a tad more challenging than the others. This is the one that may just end the journey. But is that logical? Does it make sense to give up and end the journey over one obstacle? This is one aspect of the 7 of wands. It is advising you to take a look at the obstacle in front of you and realize, there is always a way through, around, over, or under it. Never give up.
Feel stuck? Feel like you’ve hit a wall? Feel like you have gone as far as you can go, even though you really want to go a whole lot farther? Of course you do. We all have these moments. Whatever this situation is to you right now in this moment, just stop for a moment. Take a deep breath, relax, and now take a step back. Take in the situation from a broader perspective. You have been seeing it from a limited perspective. What got you to this moment of stuckedness has been a narrow view.
Step back and see a wider view. What else do you see in the fringes of your perspective? What do you see right outside? This is where your solution is. It is where you haven’t thought to look yet. “Yet” is the most important word here. It is not that you never would look here, it is just that thus far, it has not occurred to you to do so. And why is this? This is because you were confident enough in your narrow view. It doesn’t mean that your narrow view was wrong, it just is not what you need right now. Right now, you need to broaden it.
You were sure the solution would be there. It is not until now that you realize that it is not and therefore necessary to look outside of your perception for it. Do this and you will see a broader range of solutions. Now that you see broader solutions, you can proceed. Imagine your quandary as a wall. If you can’t go over it, go under it. If you can’t go under it, go around it. If you can’t go around it, bust it down and go through it. Most importantly, don’t just stand there staring at it. You have the power to get to the other side. Find it.
When the 7 of wands comes up for you in a reading, ask yourself, “What am I not seeing here? What am I missing? What other possibilities exist?” Once you find these answers, act on them. To not act on them is to make excuses for whatever is in your life that you are unhappy with. Don’t make excuses. Live fully!
