A 79-year-old shot dead in the middle of the night was discovered by his blind lover in the Brooklyn home that they shared. The strange story of the death of James Jackson is making headlines because of the mystery surrounding his demise. There is one theory that the man was killed when a stray bullet entered his place of residence, according to a Feb. 25, 2013 report by Inquisitr. However, officials currently have no motive, no suspect and no clear idea of how exactly the man was shot in his own home.
The woman who found the body of the 79-year-old shot dead in his own home has not been identified by name. Some accounts refer to the woman as the victim's wife while others say she was his girlfriend. Her age and other details have not been released.
Although the victim's name was James, a neighbor named Joyce referred to him as Tyrone. She said that Jackson's partner sought her assistance when she realized he was non-responsive. Joyce explained, "She said, 'Joyce could you come down here, I can’t wake up Tyrone,' he was laying [sic] in the couch in a puddle of blood."
The body of the 79-year-old shot dead in Brooklyn was transported to Woodhull Hospital. Jackson was pronounced dead at that hospital, but he had likely been dead for hours before the discovery of his body on the couch.
