The 78th annual Monterey County Fair kicks off Wednesday, August 27 and will run through Monday, September 1, 2014.
This year's headlining concert acts consist of Country music singer Dustin Lynch, popular funk band War and rock tribute bands Queen Nation and Journey Revisited.
Concerts will start nightly at 7:30 p.m. and are free to attend with paid admission to the fair.
Lynch will kickstart the fair on Wednesday, Aug. 27. He is best known for the hit single "Cowboys and Angels", which held the number 2 chart spot for two consecutive weeks.
Queen Nation, a tribute band to the popular Freddy Mercury fronted band Queen will hit the stage on Thursday, Aug. 28.
Popular California funk band War will play Friday, Aug. 29. The recently reunited group is known for such hits as "Low Rider" and "Why Can't We Be Friends?"
On Saturday, Aug. 30, one of last years Monterey County Fair favorites Journey Revisited will take the stage. The band has been referred to as "the most authentic Journey experience." Don't stop believin' because the band will be covering Journey's greatest hits from 1978-1996.

The 2014 Flying U Fair Rodeo will perform August 28 – 31, 2014 at the Monterey County Fair. The Flying U Fair Rodeo will feature mutton bustin', bronco riding, trick roping, dancing horses, and bull riding. Attached you will find a press release introducing this year’s rodeo attractions.
The Monterey County Fair in collaboration with the California State Parks announced that "I Love You CA Bear" will be at the Monterey County Fair celebrating 150 years of California State Parks.
