'70th Annual Golden Globe Awards motion picture wins led by 'Argo' and Affleck (Photos)

The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards were presented at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Jan. 13, 2013. Comedians Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the event, which was televised on NBC Television Network. Awards were presented to the best of motion pictures and television. Following are the winners in the motion picture categories.

"Argo" won the big awards for Best Motion Picture - Drama and Best Director for Ben Affleck. Actor/director Ben Affleck was snubbed by the Academy Awards, but got lots of love from the Golden Globe Awards and the recent Critics' Choice Awards (Critics' Choice Awards led by Affeck's Argo). Affleck forgot to thank producers George Clooney and Grand Heslov, but his wife, Jennifer Garner, took care of the omission when she was presenting the next award.

Actress Jessica Chastain received the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her work in "Zero Dark Thirty."

Actor Daniel Day-Lewis won the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for "Lincoln." Steven Spielberg's heralded film about the 16th President of the United States Abraham was introduced by the 42nd President of the United States Bill Clinton, in a surprise appearance at the Golden Globes.

"Les Miserables" won the award for Best Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical. Hugh Jackman received the honor for Best Performance by an Actor - Comedy or Musical. Anne Hathaway picked up the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role.

Jennifer Lawrence was the award for Best Performance by an Actress - Comedy or Musical for "Silver Linings Playbook."

Christoph Waltz won the Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for "Django Unchained." Quentin Tarantion won for Best Screenplay for the film.

"Brave" won for Best Animated Feature Film.

"Amour," from Austria, received the award for Best Foreign Film.

The award for Best Original Score- Motion Picture went to Mychael Danna for "Life of Pi."

Adele won the award for Best Original Song for "Skyfall," the latest James Bond film.
