70s teen idol Donny Osmond making plans to return to TV (Video)

Former 70s teen idol Donny Osmond has been preparing to make his return to television with what has been reported by Yahoo News on Thursday, Jan. 24 as a "fast-paced and very entertaining' new project.

Donny Osmond reveals that he has been watching the most popular shows "very carefully" and eyeing up the competition as he works on developing his TV comeback.

"I love the television market and I'm watching it very carefully because I am in the process of developing some TV projects that may bring me back here to the U.K. quite a bit," he told British talk show host Alan Titchmarsh.

"It's got to be quick, it's got to be entertaining, it's got to be engaging because there's so many things on television and everywhere to grab our attention. So I've got some projects in development that are fast-paced and very entertaining. Quality -- it's got to be worth your time to sit down in front of the television and invest one hour of your time. That's what I want to do."

Donny Osmond, 55, is best known as the American singer, musician, actor, dancer, radio personality, and former teen idol. Osmond has also been a talk and game show host, record producer and author. In the mid 1960s, he and four of his elder brothers gained fame as The Osmonds on the long running variety program, The Andy Williams Show. Donny went solo in the early 1970s covering such hits as "Go Away Little Girl" and "Puppy Love".
