Manchester Police are investigating an attack on a 70-year-old man who was sitting in a car when the assault by a man and a woman took place on Wednesday, Jan. 30.
According to a press release by the Manchester Police Department, officers responded to New Horizon’s shelter, at 199 Manchester Street at approximately 6:15 p.m. for a report of an assault that had just occurred.
Upon arrival, Officers spoke with a 70-year-old man who told them an unknown male and female had just attacked and assaulted him as he sat in a car outside of the shelter. The victim, of 199 Manchester Street, explained further that the man and woman approached him and began yelling at him that he did not belong in that particular vehicle. The man then opened the car door and the two began assaulting the victim. The male assailant then pulled the victim from the car and continued to assault him before he could call 911.
The victim was able to point out the female assailant when officers arrived. She was identified as Patricia Brown, 32, of 199 Manchester Street. Officers learned that Brown had warrants for her arrest for Aggravated OUIL and Theft of Services from Claremont, New Hampshire. She was arrested at the scene.
Brown’s bail was set at $1,000 cash pending her arraignment Thursday, Jan. 31 in Manchester District Court. She was transported to the Hillsborough County House of Corrections.
The victim exhibited minor injuries to his head and hand as a result of the assault. He was transported to the Catholic Medical Center for examination.
The male assailant is described as a white male, who is approximately 50-years-old, with a scraggily beard. He appeared to have been intoxicated.
Police said the assault remains under investigation.
