According to several sources, actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead at a rental home where he was reportedly paying $10,000 per night.

A total of 70 bags packed to be sold, with 50 unopened were found inside the rental.

The actor was found on Sunday with a needle stuck in his left arm according to New York Daily News.

Authorities also said the bags all had either an "Ace of Spades " or an "Ace of Hearts" stamp which hasn't been seen on heroin bags in over a year. In addition to the heroin bags cops found several bags of hypodermic needles in the apartment.

Cops are still determining what Hoffman was planning on doing with the dozens of bags of heroin, and if he had in fact been consuming large amounts of heroin with the intent of taking his own life.

A source from the NYPD says Hoffman, who was found dressed in boxers and a T-shirt more than likely died from an overdose, although his remains are still being reviewed to determine the cause of death.
