7-year-old suspended for chewing food into the shape of a gun

WPTV.com has reported that 7-year-old, Josh Welch was suspended from Park Elementary School in Baltimore after chewing his breakfast pastry into the shape of a gun.

Josh told reporters, "It was already a rectangle and I just kept on biting it and biting it and tore off the top and it kinda looked like a gun but it wasn't. All I was trying to do was turn it into a mountain but it didn't look like a mountain really and it turned out to be a gun kinda."

After Josh was suspended for 2 days his father, B.J. Welch said. "I would almost call it insanity. I mean with all the potential issues that could be dealt with at school -- real threats, bullies, whatever the issue is. It's a pastry."

After the recent tragedy at Connecticut Elementary where dozens of children were murdered by a gunman, schools all over have taken drastic measures to insure safety. However, before the Sandy incident, a kindergartner in St. Louis was suspended for 10 days because he had a nerf gun in his book bag.
