7 siblings missing in the Fresno area last weekend were found with their biological father unharmed in Sacramento. According to a Mar. 1 report, the siblings' biological father was believed to have abducted his children after his blind wife was taken to the grocery store by the children's stepfather. Their eldest son, 12, was in charge of watching the other siblings. When their mom and stepfather got home, however, the house was empty.
An Amber Alert was issued and an aggressive search began when the children were reported missing Sat., Feb. 23. Police found the 7 siblings missing with their father, Xa Yang, in Sacramento.
The children found were: Chee Nou Yang, 12; Cha Meng Yang, 11; Zia Yang, 10; Chue Feng Yang, 8; Zang Yang, 7; Tria Yang, 6; and Tou Ger Yang, 5.
Yang had been estranged from the family for three years. There wasn't a custody agreement set between the biological parents. According to one report, Yang had the legal right to take the 7 siblings as long as they were returned home by Tuesday, ten days later.
Yang did make contact with the family back in December and showed an interest in keeping in touch with his kids. It's unknown if Yang faces in charges.
