Although 7 siblings missing was one trending top news headline this afternoon that had the public worried for the fate of 7 missing children in Fresno, Calif., Softpedia News reported this Friday, March. 1, that police have confirmed the missing kids that were reported to have disappeared from their home were recently found safe and sound.
Police officials from Sacramento confirmed this week that the 7 siblings missing were in fact under the supervision of their father the entire time — a lack of communication was apparently the problem. No charges have been filed toward the father yet, but the Sacramento Police Department is still looking into the missing persons report.
The 7 children were first reported by their stepfather and their mother to be missing last week. The couple had returned home from shopping and realized their kids were gone. The mother did admit that she was gone with the stepfather for no less than seven hours, with the younger kids were left in the care of their older siblings.
"We went and knocked doors - door by door - all around at nighttime," stepfather Bee Lor said. "We thought maybe our children might play around with the friends around here, the neighbors," he adds, describing how the parents felt when the children went missing.
The police noted that the biological father hadn’t talked with the family in several years, but was legally able to take the children for ten days because no custody agreement had been in put in place. Officials are currently looking into the 7 siblings missing report, however, and the father’s side of the story, but are no doubt the children were found safe and sound.
