According to CBS News on Thursday, 7-Eleven is celebrating 7-Eleven Day on July 11 by giving away free 12-ounce Slurpees in the usual rainbow of flavors including blue, purple, green, yellow, orange and red. Since 7-Eleven is also celebrating its 87th birthday, the chain store has decided to make all next week 7-Eleven Week by giving away other freebies and discounted items.

CNN reports that on Friday shoppers can get a free small Slurpee from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at participating 7-Eleven locations while supplies last. You can also buy a quarter-pound Big Bites hot dog for $1 all day.

Not only will shoppers get a free Slurpee on Friday, but this year 7-Eleven is giving more snacks to those who download the store's app. During 7-Eleven week from Saturday to July 19, guests can use a 7-Eleven app to get more freebies. Free treats include a Big Gulp on Saturday, M&M's brand birthday cake chocolate candies on Sunday, Grandma's Cookies on Monday, Hostess Twinkies on Tuesday, Twix or Snickers brand ice cream bars on Wednesday, Quaker Chewy yogurt snack bars on Thursday, and Pillsbury cookies on Friday. The week closes with another free small Slurpee drink on Saturday, July 19.

It is easy to get the 7-Eleven freebies all week. All you have to do is download and register on the 7-Eleven app. A customer opens the 7-Eleven app at the store and shows the member barcode to the sales associate at the checkout. The bar code appears below the coupons. Once the associate scans the barcode at the register, customers will receive the item as they check out. The offer is limited to one free item per person, per day at participating stores while supplies last. Even without the app, shoppers will be able to get the free Slurpee on Friday, July 11.
