A Michigan man returning from a friend’s funeral won a $7.2 million jackpot after stopping at a Mississippi casino to play the slot machines in memory of his friend, according to a Feb. 19 Daily Mail report.
Tyler Morris said he was compelled to stop at the Palace Casino Resort in Biloxi on Friday only because his late friend enjoyed playing the casino’s penny-slot machines. The Daily Mail reports that between 10 and 10.30 p.m., Morris struck the highest jackpot possible while playing “The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship” penny-slot machine. He won a whopping $7,217,175.15.
And how does the lucky winner plan to spend the money? Speaking on the couple’s behalf, Morris’ wife says that they plan to use the money to pay off a car they bought just to attend their friend’s funeral in Southern Mississippi. The new millionaire also said that they will use the money to repair the roof on their small business and save some for family.
