Just a reminder that the 6th Annual WCS Run for the Wild at the Bronx Zoo is only 5 weeks away. This year’s event, Saturday, April 26th, supports 96 Elephants, “ the number of African elephants killed daily.”
Each walker or runner participating in the 5K event, either at the Zoo, or as a “virtual runner” by committing to run or walk on their own in their yards, neighborhood run or even on a treadmill will help critical funds for elephant protections and doing their part to ensure a future where elephants still roam Africa's forests and savannahs.
Those who sign-up by Monday, March 24th and use promo code SPRING will get $5 off the registration fee, then get a jump on raising funds for eles. As with each WCS Run for the Wild, this event, this event is open to runners and walkers alike. Registration includes: Free all-day access to the Bronx Zoo for all participants; Staggered starts for runners and walkers/ families (at 8 am and 8:45 am); Free t-shirt for registered children and a host of great prizes for fundraisers of all levels, including a t-shirt, a soft plush elephant, coffee tumbler, umbrella, backpack, and hoodie.
