6th annual Rice Festival this Saturday

Enjoy this beautiful weather at the 6th annual Rice Festival this Saturday, October 9th, at Stone Mountain Park. Festivities are from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

A fundraiser for the Asian American Resource Center, located in Suwanee, Georgia, the festival will feature ethnic food vendors, performances by local groups who represent the Asian American community, and more.

The AARC is a non-profit organization with aspirations to increase the upward mobility of Asian Americans through the provision of social and educational services, according to AARC's Jung-In Soh. She also states that, a mission of the Rice Festival is to increase communication between Asian and non-Asian communities in Metro-Atlanta.

Select the link above to learn more about the AARC. Entry to Stone Mountain is $10.00 per vehicle. The Festival will take place on the Memorial Lawn.
