Approximately 650 people attended the Voice of the Martyrs Regional Conference last Saturday, August 7, at The Summit Church in North Little Rock, Ark. They came from not only Arkansas, but also Oklahoma, Missouri, Tennessee, Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, and Oregon. Thirty area churches promoted the conference in some way.

Speakers from around the world shared their personal testimonies and gave information about persecution that is taking place today. It was estimated that more than 200 million Christians are currently suffering intense persecution for their faith.

"You are in danger outside of God's will," one speaker said, "but you are in danger in His will."

Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) is a non-profit, inter-denominational Christian organization dedicated to assisting the persecuted church worldwide. VOM was founded in 1967 by Pastor Richard Wurmbrand, who was imprisoned 14 years in Communist Romania for his faith in Christ.
