This past Tuesday, the Women’s Division of Albert Einstein College of Medicine hosted its 60th Annual Spirit of Achievement Luncheon at The Plaza Hotel’s Grand Ballroom. Notable guests at the luncheon included Christine Baranski, Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, Julie Macklowe, Judy Aschner, M.D., Carol Roaman, Jill Martin, Sarah Hughes, Barbara Taylor Bradford, journalist Judith Miller, Jane Pontarelli, Nicole DiCocco, Lucia Hwong Gordon, Michele Herbert, Janna Bullock, Ramona Singer, Aviva Drescher, and Dina Manzo. The Women’s Division of Albert Einstein College of Medicine works to advance medical research and medical education programs at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and has raised millions of dollars in this effort. The luncheon serves as one of its biggest fundraisers.

At the luncheon, guests enjoyed a number of great presentations. Albert Einstein College of Medicine Board of Overseers Chair Ruth L. Gottesman, Ed. D. gave a brief introduction that followed with a special video tribute to former Women’s Division president Rita Rosen, which was introduced by Carol Roaman, the Women’s Division’s current president. Jill Martin served as the event’s Master of Ceremonies. Christine Baranksi was honored with a Spirit of Achievement award for her admirable devotion to her family, friends, and community as well as her strong support for women empowerment and the medical industry. Other honorees included Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, Julie Macklowe, Judy Aschner, M.D. What an inspiring and meaningful event!
