$600,000 a month lease: 'Most expensive lease' Beverly Hills home now available

A $600,000 a month lease is helping redefine the word “expensive” this week, as the LA Times reported this Tuesday, Feb. 26, that a Beverly Hills estate is now being offered at that very same price. While some of the priciest Malibu mansions asking for $150,000 a month may seem extreme, those estates simply pale in comparison to this new $600,000 a month lease, said Jeffry Hyland of Hilton and Hyland Real Estate.

In his 30 years of selling real estate on the Westside, Hyland added it’s the most expensive offer the listing agent has ever seen.

“It may be the most expensive lease in the country.”

The Beverly Hills home was originally built in the 1920s, and it’s well remembered for its famous former live-ins, actress Marion Davies and publishing magnate William Hearst. The Mediterranean-style mansion with a $600,000 a month lease also was a honeymoon vacation spot for John F. and Jacqueline Kennedy. Scenes from this illustrious home have even been used in big-name films, including “The Godfather” and “The Bodyguard.”

The mansion offers its potential future resident(s) 17 bedrooms and a full 29 bathrooms.
