$600,000 a month lease? That's exactly what a Beverly Hills house costs to rent. Paying a one-month lease at $600,000 does come with benefits, though, as the house also has a two-story library to enjoy. According to a report from the LA Times on Tuesday (Feb. 26), the listing agent (Jeffrey Hyland of Hilton & Hyland), says the Mediterranean-style house “may be the most expensive lease in the country.”
For that price, most people could buy several homes in this country, but the expectation here is that someone will be getting a pretty fancy address on a month-to-month basis. The house is reported to be more than 50,000 square feet, with 17 bedrooms and 29 bathrooms. That's enough space to have huge parties, but the question becomes whether anyone would trust their friends with a house set at the price tag.
That's not all this mansion has to offer either, as it has a movie theater, a 22-foot tall living room, a 60-seat dinner table and a billiards room that comes with its own fireplace. If ever there was a place designed for a celebrity to get away for a month, this estate seems like the place to do it.
Most people could only dream of getting a house that comes with a $600,000 a month lease, but those same people would probably find this to be far too extravagant to spend that kind of money on it. Now it will be interesting to see if the renters actually find someone willing to pay that much for just 30 days of use. Everyone must now be wondering if there is a discount in February as well.
