Rumors suggest a 60-inch Apple TV release date is coming soon, with a steep price. While the company already has an upgrade-capable box that streams 1080p HD like iTunes and Netflix; there is talk Steve Jobs' vision of a big-screen iTV is coming soon. UPI, in a report out today, said analysts predict the iRing-controlled television will cost between $1,500 and $2,500.
There's been talk about new products coming down the pipeline, many that will never be seen by a customer. With smart phone sales on the decline, the latest Apple rumor suggests a 60-inch television set is launching later this year.
And if that's not enough, buzz is Cook and company are also releasing a 50 and 55-inch plasma version of its Apple TV set. Imagine that?
With Apple stock (ticker symbol: AAPL) in a downward slump, off of its highs of over $700 last year, the Cupertino-based company is pushing towards innovation.
Of course, what would an Appl iTV be without Siri, right? Word is the pricey box, which seems more like an over-sized iPad, will have "table-like mini iTVs," says UPI sources. In other words, tiny gadgets on the order of iPads, can receive wireless video from the main set anywhere in your home or office.
Finally, Tim Cook must have realized the iPhone and iPad cannot sustain the once-raging locomotive.
But hold on; bear in mind that while rumors suggest a 60-inch Apple TV release date is coming soon, the electronics company remains mum -- in tradition -- on any new product developments.
Nonetheless, wouldn't an iTV be pretty cool?
