6 Top Spring/Summer 2013 Fashion Trends
The weather will get warmer sooner in LA than other city across the USA except the south east. LA tends to have more hip and fashion trends breaking than most warm weather cities due to celebrities and younger fashion forward new designers in LA. What did we see at the LA fashion week that you want to be sure to incorporate in your spring and summer wardrobe? Check out the trends below. The Los Angeles crowd always considers Paris the leader in fashion and takes cues from the shows in Paris at Fashion week NY and LA.
Trend Number One- Evening:
Chanel predicts the spring look with strapless shorter or mid -calf evening dresses with high wedge shoes or high heels. The strapless dress can actually be a dramatic compliment to women who are more hip heavy as it brings the eye up to the collar bone and away from the hips. Don’t let this look escape you. Secondly, flashy lashes and pale pink lipstick for evening looks. Looser looks are in for warmer weather with areas of fabric still fitted to the body. Perhaps a loose fitting dress tied with a belt at the waste and off to the side of the hip.
Trend Number Two- The Office:
Los Angeles has always sported a laid back office policy for dress codes. This spring get away with a linen suit with shorts. A matching jacket and loose shorts mid-thigh still give a sleek look with a pair of flats for the office. If you have an after office event store a pair of super high heels to switch to for an evening look. This will elongate your leg and give you the catwalk look. Shorter pants and cropped jackets with ¾ length sleeves. Color is key- light on the bottom with a pattern look for the jacket give it brightness and breeziness.
Trend Number Three: Men’s Spring Fashion Look:
Los Angeles weekend casual works well for the Los Angeles man’s lifestyle. A great jacket over a dressy T- Shirt and dressy casual shorts is great for day or night. Dressy nighttime spring look or chic business casual for the art director types, Ford Model Ben Hunter shows a green velvet jacket with a chiffon type scarf and button down sweater.
