Black Friday is looming, and while the economy's state of mind may make you want to get out and spend, spend, spend (if you can), stay in and shop the sales online. Everyone from department stores to online boutiques are extending their Black Friday savings online, so stay in your PJ's, grab your favorite Starbucks holiday drink and have your credit card numbers within view.
- You get to stay in your PJ's. Enough said.
- You can eat leftovers and not waste money on eating out to fuel you through a long day of shopping.
- You won't deal with parking issues unless your house only has one computer.
- You can stalk items you want, hit a discount site like retailmenot.com and search out a coupon code. This leads to only purchases you want/need, not many impulse buys.
- You can take a nap when saks.com crashes. You can't do this in the store.
- You don't have to take anyone with you. When dealing with mob crowds and bad weather, we suggest you have someone in tow. With online shopping, you're safe (except for your credit card).

Another great online resource i've found is ZingSale.com -- You can make a list of gifts you want to buy for your family (or yourself!), and you will automatically get an email alert whenever anything on your shopping list goes on sale.
Thanks for the resource, Julie! That sounds like a great idea.
