Since wedding budgets and tastes vary so much, it is hard to pick just a few and hope to hit a couple’s style without knowing more about what they picture for their wedding. With an idea of what you want in mind, take a look at some of these links for a wide variety of venues in a lower price range.
- Carrollton Plaza Arts Center - a character-rich theater where you can hold your ceremony and reception
- Fairview Farms Marketplace - yes, it’s a barn, but with the right lighting and décor, this venue can hold a pretty, slightly casual reception
- WedCheaper - venues, mostly on the outskirts of the Metroplex, that you probably wouldn’t find on your own
- Check nearby hotels - ones that you wouldn’t think of as especially fancy. Some two or three star hotels have nicer ballrooms than you’d expect, at the price that you need

Before choosing a venue, make sure to factor in all the costs, not just the room rental fee. Some factors that can raise the price considerably are
- Catering – Is there an in house caterer you are required to use? Do they have a list of caterers that are allowed
- Bar – Can you bring your own or do they have drink packages to choose from?
- Rental items – Do they include tables, chairs and linens, or will you have to rent them?
