COHOES, NY -- If you make it through this Friday, the 13th, the following one might capture your interest.
That's when Harmony House Marketplace will host its fifth anniversary celebration, from 5 to 7 p.m., a free event.
The complex of three historic 184-190 Remsen Street buildings began as a restoration project, then blossomed into includes a site for five owner-occupied small businesses: The Wine Seller, which sells only New York State wines, R&G Cheesemakers, Sticky Fingers Gourmet Apples, Francesca’s Specialty Deli and Remsen Street Studios.
The Wine Seller normally holds free tastings of products from one New York winery every Friday. However, on the 20th a special tasting will include representatives from several wineries as well as guest pourers. Food samplings will be available through all Harmony House business, and local songwriter-guitarist Frank Lessard will perform.
