5th Annual Holiday Jazz Concert and Wreath Auction on Cape Cod

It’s time to head to Sandwich again for the annual Holiday Jazz Concert and Wreath Auction on Friday December 10. This popular event is run by the Sandwich School Band Boosters to benefit band programs at schools in Sandwich.

Jazz concert by Cape Cod and Boston musicians highlights the evening

The acoustics in St John’s Church are perfect for this holiday concert. George Machon and James Thomas head a group of professional musicians from the Cape and Boston playing some fine jazz to get you in the holiday mood.



Handcrafted wreaths auctioned to benefit Sandwich school music programs


The silent auction features wreaths designed by local artists, businesses and individuals. Enjoy some light refreshments as you check out these one of a kind wreaths For a look at some previous years’ wreaths, see this slide show.

More local Cape Cod holiday fun in Sandwich this weekend

The festivities don’t end after the jazz concert is over and the wreaths are all sold. Plan on staying the weekend. The next morning, as part of Holly Days in Sandwich, have pancakes with Santa at the historic Grange Hall, hosted by the Kiwanis Club.

And on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. take the Holly Days Home Tour to get a peek inside some of the historic houses in the oldest town on Cape Cod.
