Helping Animals Live Organization (HALO) has had such great success with its Chinese Auction, that it's coming back for a fifth consecutive year. The 5th Annual Chinese Auction to benefit HALO will be held Sunday, March 10th, at the Silverado Inn, 135 Marginal Road in Herkimer.
This silent-style auction will includes hundreds of items, including gift certificates, household and pet items and gift baskets. There will also be raffles - including a wheelbarrow of cheer - food, 50/50, refreshments and HALO merchandise for sale.
HALO representatives are still accepting donations of new or nearly new items (household items, pet items, gift baskets, gift cards, etc.) for the auction. If anyone would like to donate, they can contact Debbie at 315-866-8608, Sandy and Dave at 315-733-6030 or email Sandy at sillygyrl9990@yahoo.com. They will make arrangements for pick up or drop off.
There is no charge for admission and doors open for viewing at 11 am, with drawings beginning at 2 pm. Donations of Purina dry and Friskies canned cat food upon admission is much appreciated by HALO.
Proceeds will benefit the HALO, a no-kill, no-cage cat shelter in Little Falls, NY. They are online at www.halorescue.net and Facebook. The event is sponsored by Bug Country 99.7 & 101.1.
