Running Wild Films, in conjunction with 5J Media, announce a three day film festival celebrating their most ambitious work to date: 52 Films in 52 Weeks. Filmed weekly over the course of 2013, the 52 Films 52 Weeks project adapts classical works to a modern day short film format and will be shown February 7th, 8th and 9th, 2014. The 52 Films 52 Weeks project spotlights works by Herman Melville, James Joyce, and Kate Chopin, among others.
Travis Mills, Director at Running Wild Films, sources talent and crew only from Arizona. His goal is to create a sustainable independent film movement here, and bases his operations out of Phoenix.
Workshops and discussions of filmmaking techniques will be interspersed with blocks of the 52 films shown over the course of the three day festival. Meal options, provided by host restaurant Marisco’s Vuelva a la Vida will be available, and an opening night premiere event will kick off the festivities Friday night with local musicians, a cash bar, and trailers of Running Wild Films’ future projects. The event is open to the public. Several ticket options are available, including full festival passes, single day, and single block. More information can be found at: www.runningwildfilms.com/52films/ All profits support the ongoing works of Running Wild Films.
