Apparently both Knowles sisters have no problem taking their claws out. Just as the Solange and Jay Z confrontation is beginning to die down, it appears that Beyonce has a hot streak of her own. In a report by US Weekly on Monday, rapper 50 Cent recalled a run-in with Beyonce in a radio interview with Power 105.1.

According to the “Candy Shop” rapper, Bey turned into Sasha Fierce when she thought he and her husband were approaching a confrontation. He told radio hosts, “One time [Beyonce] jumped off of a ledge and came running over cause she thought me and Jay had issues. And I’m like, ‘What the f—k? Did she really just jump and run up on me like that?”

50 Cent explains that Beyonce misunderstood an interaction between him and Jay Z and wanted to protect her man. He continued, “She jumped out and I was like this, ‘What?! That Bonnie and Clyde for real! You try this or what, boy?! I’m here! She bugged out at me. I looked and Jay starts laughing. He’s like, ‘Yo, you know what it is.’”

But it was no laughing matter for Beyonce, who, like her younger sister, seems to have no fear when it comes to protecting someone they love. Ironically, 50 Cent’s recollection contradicts what was seen on the infamous surveillance video from the Met Gala afterparty. In the video, Beyonce appeared very calm and passive as Solange physically attacked Jay Z. The situation was much different, but Beyonce’s lack of reaction may have meant she felt her husband was in the wrong.

50 Cent’s claims come as the family is trying to put the incident behind them. Beyonce, Jay Z, and Solange released a statement following the embarrassing incident. They told the Associated Press, “Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.”
