Flanked on both sides by G-Unit members, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo, 50 Cent put on a show for Boston's own House of Blues. The concert began promptly, which is rare for a rap show, and "Fiddy" emerged from behind the curtain, looking quite normal - despite all the internet rumors. Ladies, he may be a little less-jacked and now tattoo free, but 50 Cent is still easy on the eyes. If he lost a ton of weight for a movie role, he's back to a healthy size. Out touring music from his fourth studio album, Before I Self Destruct, 50's show was just - eh.
At the peak of his hip-hop career, during the Get Rich or Die Tryin' and The Massacre days, 50's live shows were much more energetic. His first tour was just noise, consisting of too many people on stage with microphones, but still a great set. His second stage show was much more refined - theatrical and planned out. Remember when 50 ruled the music world from 2003-2005? "P.I.M.P.", "Candy Shop", "Disco Inferno", and "In the Club"? I think his recent work just hasn't made as much impact. Don't get me wrong, I love Fiddy. He's a mogul, who has built an empire around his brand and is an extremely intelligent dude. His live show this time around just didn't stand out, but it was fun dancing to the radio hits - and this guy has plenty.
