A recent study of physicians and nurses published in the New England Journal of Medicine showed that these 5 foods led the list of weight gain culprits:
- potato chips
- French fries
- regular (not diet) sodas
- red meat
- foods with trans fat like pastries
Swaps: lentil chips, water flavored with a squeeze of lime, lean poultry and fish, and fat-free treats like fresh fruit, sugar-free pudding and fat-free ice cream.
