The steamy line between love and lust is often blurred by passion and both party's desire for each other. How can you tell if your man really loves you or if he's just lusting after you? There are a few tell tale signs that indicate if a man truly loves a woman. Here are five ways to tell if it's true love or just lust.
1. He wants you to hang with him and the guys
If a guy is truly crazy about you he'll invite you everywhere he goes. If he thinks you're super hot he'll want to parade you around in front of his guy friends to make them jealous. If he shows you off just the one time, it was most likely just to make himself feel superior. If he invites you to hang with the guys more than once, he's probably in love and doesn't care that he may catch flack over bringing a chick to Monday night football.
2. He wants you to meet his parents
If he wants to introduce you to his parents he's most likely pretty serious about you. If you just happen to be at his place after a wild night of love making, and his mom surprises him by stopping by in the morning and you meet her briefly before doing the walk of shame, that's not the kind of introduction that indicates love. If he's been hounding you for weeks to have dinner at his mom's house and she's making your favorite dish, you better bring your A game because somebody's in love with you. If there's a plane ride or long drive in a car to meet his parents, you can be sure that he's in love.
3. It's in his kiss
Most ladies say they can tell if a guy loves them just by his kiss. Don't be fooled by an experienced Romeo with serious smooching skills though. If he can't get enough of your kisses and always wants to lock lips with you even when it's not going to lead to sex, he's pretty smitten with you. If he can't keep his lips off of you, and not just your lips but your cheeks, hands, neck, back and forehead, it sounds like he's got it bad for you. If he only wants to kiss you when it leads to sex, it's probably just lust.
4. He wants to know about your life
The guy who loves you is interested in all aspects of your life. He wants to know about your crappy day at work. He wants to read the essay you wrote that got you into college. He wants to know about the time you froze up during your fourth grade school play and why you'll never wear the color orange. Whether it's the good side or the bad side of you, the guy who loves you wants to hear about every detail of your life. A man who is truly in love will even listen to you rattle on and on about the problems of people at work whom he doesn't even know.
5. He shares his life with you
Most men are notorious for keeping tight-lipped about their shortcomings. The man in love is going to share his life with you, even his vulnerable side. On the flip side of that, you'll be the first person he calls when he gets promoted. You'll be on his arm when his brother gets married. Instead of going stag to his ten-year high school reunion hoping to hook up with that cheerleader he never had a chance with back then, he'll bring you as his date and never leave your side.
