5 Things to do during Wii U's painfully slow loading times

Nintendo's Wii U console is currently full of bugs and won't be completely stable until the update that's coming this Summer. In the meantime, we're stuck with horrifically slow loading times that are unacceptable in today's technological standards. Luckily, there's a few ways to overcome this without going insane. Keep in mind that loading times for the Wii U usually take up to 1 minute to load. In some situations, loading times may take as short as 15 seconds. Anyways, here's 5 ways you can kill time during the Wii U's terribly slow loading times.

1. Brush your Teeth

Brushing your teeth usually takes a few minutes which is more than enough time for Wii U's slow loading times. If you're switching from a game to the home screen, you probably won't want to do something that takes more than 3 minutes to complete. On the other hand, if you're on the home screen and you want to enter the Hulu Plus application, this could take nearly 5 minutes and you'll probably have extra time to wait after brushing your teeth. Take your time and keep on praying that the future firmware update will be worth it.

2. Walk around your house 3 times

It truly doesn't matter if you have an apartment or not, all you have to do is walk around your house two or three times. All you have to do is walk outside and walk in circles around your residence. If your residence is too big, you have permission to circle any car of your choice 10-15 times. After circling your house or someone's car, you can now return to your Wii U console and loading should be complete.

3. Exercise

When playing games, you don't have much time to work out or get in shape. With the Wii U, you can create a new challenge during each slow loading process. Once you enter a new application or return to the home screen, do jumping jacks or push-ups. If you don't like these exercises, you can choose any kind of exercise you'd like. The main rule is that you cannot stop until the loading time is complete. If you do this daily until the summer update, you could possibly lose a few pounds if you also restrict your calorie intake.

4. Make a cup of coffee

If you have a decent coffee machine, you can easily make a cup in less than 5 minutes. Once the Wii U starts being slower than usual, you can get right up and make some coffee. After adding your cream and sugar, simply stir your cup and come back to your Wii U. All loading times should be complete and you're on your way to playing some games.

5. Order some pizza

If you play your Wii U for a substantial amount of time, you'll probably get a little hungry. Since the loading times will hold you over even more, why not just call the local pizza place? Ordering pizza takes less than 2 minutes of your time if you put in a somewhat small order for yourself or a small group of people, so once you're done ordering, your Wii U should be all ready to play once again.
